European Utility Requirements
The European Utility Requirements (EUR) Association was established in 1992, and it aims to identify common positions on design requirements to be proposed by vendors for future nuclear power plant and to promote harmonization of requirements for standardization across Europe and worldwide. The Association has 13 members, including European operators and companies embarking to build nuclear power plants in the future.

The most important product of the Association is the Nuclear Power Plant Requirements Set (EUR) Document for light water-cooled reactor designs. Furthermore, the EUR Association assesses the conformity of designs that submit applications for design assessment with the EUR Document by expert teams composed of Association members.

The strategic objectives of the EUR Association are as follows:

TÜNAŞ became an associate member of the EUR Association in 2019 and then Association recognized TÜNAŞ as a full member in 2022. Our company has utilized the EUR Document in preparation of its "Owners Requirements", a document to be employed in our prospective nuclear power plant projects. This document outlines our expectations for the power plants planned to be built in the future. Additionally, our company actively participated in the APR1000 design assessment initiative in collaboration with the EUR Association and contributes to the ongoing revision of the EUR requirements.

Our company is a member of the Association's Steering Committee which is decision-making body, and the Administrative Group which is responsible for the conduct of technical reviews and projects.
